Columbus McKinnon in Wuppertal
The company building of the Columbus McKinnon Industrial Products GmbH was newly designed and built in 2013. The main objectives in its design were to optimize logistical processes, to improve internal logistics and to design the electric chain hoist assembly area according to the Lean Management principles. This newly created location is characterized by a modern and bright working area. There are ample free parking spaces on-site and in-house lunch facilities.
Wuppertal - Big city with green lungs
Wuppertal has approximately 350,000 citizens. It is a “green” city of almost 17,000 hectares and nearly half of its land mass is dedicated for ‘green’ park use, forests, gardens and agriculture. The city’s landmark is its 13km long suspension tramway which carries 85,000 people each day, on average, up to 12m above the river Wupper and 8m above street-level!Our site is easily accessible by car and by public transport via its own train station.
Columbus McKinnon in Kissing
In 2007 the Columbus McKinnon Engineered Products GmbH moved into their newly constructed and equipped company building with an appealing, bright atmosphere in modern offices. There are plenty of free parking spaces available, an in-house restaurant offering breakfast and lunch service and several shopping facilities nearby. Last but not least: There is a country park with a bathing lake within a 3-minute walk from our site – perfect for a lunch-time stroll or swim.
Kissing is a small town with approximately 11,000 citizens in the rural district of Aichach-Friedberg in Bavaria. Columbus McKinnon Engineered Products’ headquarters is located approximately 15km from Augsburg and 50km from Munich. Thanks to a centrally located train station and the B2 main road, Kissing is perfectly connected to Augsburg (10 minutes) and a comfortable commuting time to the Bavarian capital of Munich (30 minutes).This region is well connected, offers a good quality of life with affordable living options – and especially important factor for families.An additional benefit: If you drive to work from Munich to Kissing you will generally have free roads, because you are driving in contra flow to the heavier traffic inbound towards Munich.

Nestling in the heart of the Kocher River valley on the picturesque Kocher-Jagst bike path lies the town of Künzelsau with its 8,600 residents and which is surrounded by numerous small towns both higher up and lower down the valley. The idyllic countryside and flourishing industry make Künzelsau a very popular place to live and work. Anyone interested in "art and culture" might like to visit the Würth Museum in Gaisbach, which displays the impressive Reinhold Würth collection in alternating exhibitions.
